Wallace Berman (American 1926-1976) was born in Staten Island, NY. He moved to Los Angeles and then to San Francisco where he started his magazine “Semina” which he filled with his poetry, photographs, writing and drawing. He was influenced by Jazz and Rock n Roll, becoming associated with the Beat movement.
