Los Primos (The Cousins) by Mexican artist Rafael Coronel (1932-2019). Painting in oil on paper. Deep purple and blue tones.

Rafael Coronel is one of the leading artist of the New Expressionism movement in Mexican Art. He studied in Mexico City and in Europe. His wife, Ruth was the daughter of Diego Rivera and Lupe Marin. Coronel has exhibited throughout Mexico as well as internationally, receiving awards in Japan, Brazil and Mexico. The Rafael Coronel Museum in the province of Zacatecas, Mexico houses his works.
