This is an exquisite antique Japanese low Tansu, custom made for a wealthy previous Japanese owner. The Tansu is made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods and features all original hand-forged iron hardware, including Gunbai style handles. The Tansu has been finished with Urushi lacquer, which gives it a beautiful and unique shine. The bespoke custom-made Nihon Matsu chest is a rare find and adds to the uniqueness of this piece.

This Tansu is a perfect blend of beauty and functionality. It is a great addition to any home decor and can be used as a storage unit or as a decorative piece. The Tansu is in excellent condition and has been well-maintained over the years.
