Description
Original Meiji period antique Japanese lacquer multi-tiered tea chest. Consisting of two open shelves along with upper and lower compartments. Top compartment is make up of four individual sliding doors. Front is covered in gold lacquer with maki-e techniques depicting landscape seen with small village.
The four vertical supports are adored with lacquer gold detail. From and base are decorated with mon and low relief patterns.
