Serigraph print entitled “Earthship” by the artist Mayumi Oda (b. 1941). Takarabune or “Treasure Ship” of Japanese folklore is usually piloted by the Seven Lucky Gods and laden with magical objects. Here, the ship is steered by Mother Earth who cradles our planet in her lap. The ship is brimming with plants and animals, the wondrous treasures of nature. This print is signed in gold pencil and numbered 60/100.

Mayumi is widely loved for her female empowering works, many of which are currently part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and more.
