Antique Korean bandaji (blanket storage) chest made with mirrored persimmon wood panels and hardware of brass and iron. The door of the chest is hinged and opens downward to reveal a large storage compartment. The inside of the compartment is outfitted with small drawers in the back and shelves on the sides in an unusual and clever configuration.

Age: Chosun Period (circa 19th century)

Dimensions: 33 1/2″ high x 40 1/4″ wide x 19 3/4″ deep
