A Japanese 2 section Tansu chest called Isho-dansu made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. Original bronze hardware. Upper section features 2 sliding doors behind which is a shelf. The bottom section has 2 large full width drawers for additional storage. Originally used to store silk Kimono, its present day use as a daily dresser works well for the contemporary home.<br.
