Description

Japanese antique hand carved leaf tray made out of a single piece of wood. Large and realistically rendered front and back. Naturalistic three dimensional form and texture. Well carved with great detail, the back is signed and inscribed with a poem which is accented in polychrome pigment.  Warm original patina that has softened over time.

Age: Taisho Period (early 20th century)
