Antique Chinese Chizhou stoneware kendi (handleless pouring vessel with spout). Also called Tz’u-chou, this high-fire stoneware is decorated with rich brown-black glaze. It has a raised design of a band of flowers around it’s middle and a scalloped pattern around it’s mouth. The elegant form has a tapered spout with a slight bend.
