Description
An antique Japanese Tansu Kimono chest in 2 sections (Kasane) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware with Gumbai handles and the Paulownia leaf family crest on the four main lock plates. Four main drawers with 2 small drawers hidden behind the security door. Secret hiding place behind the upper small drawer.
Age: Early Meiji (1870-1880)
