Description
An antique Japanese large Kyoto Todana Tansu (storage chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Hinoki (Cypress) woods. Two large sliding doors opens to a spacious area for storage. Hidden mortise and tenon joinery with side slats incorporated for strength and support. Original bronze door handles with incised butterlies and flowers.
Age: Meiji Period (1880-1890)
