Antique Caucasian Talish Azeri runner carpet.
The Talish carpet received its name from large region stretched along the Talish mountains, by the coast of the Caspian Sea. It is a well known carpet type. The middle field of carpets, which are known as Talish, happens to be of both simple and complicated composition. The central narrow indigo panel with motifs of flowers and medallions, bordered in scrolling vines and rosettes. All hand-woven 100% wool in colorful blue, red, yellow, and cream dyes.
