Description
This is an antique Japanese Buddhist bronze temple bell called Bonsho with Nyu protrusions for sound quality and a top handle for on a rope or chain. The handle features two diverging dragons that protect the spirit of the bell. Beautiful aged patina with an inscription incised on the side.
Age: Edo Period (1800-1850)
