Japanese tsuba (sword guard) depicted a pair of gold inlaid snakes. Finely detailed down to each scale. Mounted on a custom bronze and hardwood display base.
In Japanese culture, snakes, or hebi, are symbols of protection, rebirth, transformation, and good fortune. They can also represent wisdom, strength, and resilience.
