17th century antique Indian carved marble Ganesha. Seen here sitting with one leg up. Details of eyes can still be seen through soft wear consistent with age. The mouse and bowl of rice can been seen as well at the feet of Ganesha. Overall complete with cracks or breaks.

Age: 17th Century 1600’s

Dimensions: 11″ high x 5 3/4″ wide x 2 3/4″ deep Ganesha is known to have many attributes, he is readily identified by his elephant head and four arms. He is widely revered, more specifically, as the remover of obstacles and bringer of good luck, patron of arts and sciences, and the diva of intellect and wisdom.
As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked during writing sessions as a patron of letters and learning.
