Very rare original 18th C. Edo Polychrome Japanese Oni devil oni boxwood okimono figure. Original mineral pigment is intact, overall condition is very good and wear consistent of age. Bone inlay, very well carved. Small shrine compartment opens with figure inside. Wrapped in a swirling water dragon. Water dragon reveals a lotus pod reliquary above the head.
