Description
Chinese blanc de chine porcelain figure of the bodhisattva of compassion Quan Yin. She is sculpted lounging against an armrest with a lion’s face. One of her delicate hands is emerged out from her robes, clutching a sutra scroll. The bodhisattva is easily identified by her large ear lobes and protruding third eye, attributes of an immortal being. Her backside is signed with a chop and a gourd shaped signature.
