Pair of Chinese hardwood panels decorated with a view of various scholar and table objects arranged with flowers and auspicious motifs in jade, nephrite, carnelian, and other precious hardstones. The back of the panels are carved with the character, longevity in various forms of seal script. The panels may have hung in the zhong tang or central hall of a large residence in the past.
