Antique Japanese Cloisonne baluster vase with silver wire used in a beautiful design of a gnarled persimmon branch late in season with ripe orange persimmons, and leaves changing color, many of which are eaten by worms.  The background is a warm creamy yellow. The design, the movement of the branch with it’s eaten leaves and fruit, holds a rare sophistication that is so unusual and refined it suggests Imperial influence.
