Description
Elegant Chinese blue and white porcelain dish decorated with a lively composition of swimming fish, aquatic plants, lotus blossoms, and flowering foliage, all rendered in varying shades of rich cobalt blue. The lobed, scalloped rim enhances the graceful form, while the reverse continues the aquatic and floral decoration.
The central medallion features a swimming fish surrounded by stylized aquatic vegetation, with additional fish and floral motifs. The finely painted fish, scrolling foliage, and carefully articulated botanical details demonstrate the sophisticated decorative vocabulary associated with Kangxi-period blue and white porcelain.
The base bears a six-character underglaze-blue Kangxi reign mark, 大清康熙年製, within a double circle.
