Description

Antique Chinese hardwood brush pot. Made of huanghuali wood (Dalbergia odorifera) of a cylindrical shape, the base with a slight protruding lip. The front of the brush pot is carved with a stylized bamboo forest; The opposite side carved with a calligraphy inscription and artist’s chops. The original finish brings out the natural “ghost eye” woodgrain characteristic of huanghuali.
