Description

Song Dynasty ‘Henan’ black and iron-oxide glazed Meiping pottery vase or jar. Oval form with high shoulders and small mouth with loop handles on either side. The almost abstract design of two large flowers is freely painted. Lovely rich black glaze on buff color pottery. Unglazed circular foot with glazed inset bottom.

Age: Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127)
