Antique Japanese Musha-ningyo doll of a samurai warrior, the hero Minamoto Yoshitsune. He is seated and wears an elaborate kabuto with dragon meadate. His quiver and arrows are strapped to his back and his two swords are intact.  Clothing is made of silk brocade and his armor is metal and lacquer. His face is made of gofun (polished oyster shell powder), his features are finely painted and his eyes are made of glass.

Age: Edo Period (early 19th century)

Dimensions: 22 1/2″ high (19″ high with helmet off) x 18″ wide x 20″ deep (including sword)
