Description
An ancient Egyptian carved limestone head of a Princess, daughter of Akhenaten and Nefertiti. She is beautifully sculpted with features very similar to those of her queen mother. Akhenaten and Nefertiti had six children between them, all of them daughters. Their first three daughters, Meretaten Meketaten and Ankhesenpaaten were born in Thebes. Their daughters , Neferneferuaten-tasherit, Neferneferure and Setepenre were born later in the city of Akhenaten “Horizon of the Aten” (today, Tell el-Amarna). Her elongated skull, her braided wig, large earrings and delineated eyes are all noble details.
