Description

Antique Chinese low rectangular table made of carved lacquer in the tixi technique and decorated with guri “sword-pommel pattern”. The lacquer is applied in multiple thin coats of alternating black and red then carved down to reveal the layers. The underside of the table is carved with a four character mark.
